The planning of the ECCO FEI World Championships 2022 Herning (DEN) is developing, and the Organisers are aiming towards making the multi discipline World Championships an exceptional experience for both two and four-legged participants.
Approximately 1,000 horses are expected at the ECCO FEI World Championships 2022 Herning (DEN) from 6 - 14 August, and at the same time, the Organisers expect around 200,000 guests over the nine competition days.
Jens Trabjerg and Casper Cassøe, who lead a committed team of employees and volunteers, are on the right track planning the ECCO FEI World Championships 2022 Herning (DEN). The committed team thinks outside the box but in full respect of the strong traditions bound in the conduct of the Championships.
Representatives of 15 National Federations for equestrian sports visited MCH Messecenter Herning during the FEI World Cup™ Herning. During the visit, the Organisers received positive feedback from the participants, inspiring even further the development of the Championships in Herning in August next year. The representatives from the Federations emphasised the importance of horse welfare, and the Organisers are planning just that.
A trinity of Healthy Horse, BB Horse, and Slangerupgaard is Official Welfare Partner. Professionals from the three education and wellness centres initiate and contribute to the focus on the welfare of our four-legged athletes during the Championships in Herning.
Guests and participating athletes at Herning2022 will experience a varied cuisine at the Championships in Helgstrand VIP Lounge, in Restaurant Blue Hors Matiné, and in the many food stalls in EquiPark. While the importance of catering for guests and athletes are a focus, the need for quality feed for the horses is also emphasised.
Knowing that a good, well-balanced feed is essential for the health and performance of the horses, the Organisers have entered an agreement with the Swedish brand KRAFFT. During the Championships, KRAFFT will act as the Official Horse Feed Supplier.
"The agreement with KRAFFT ensures that we have one of the industry's strongest brands as a partner at the World Championships," says Casper Cassøe on behalf of the Organisers, and he continues: “Peder Fredricson and other top athletes such as Henrik von Eckermann, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, and Douglas Lindelöw as well as Dressage rider Daniel Bachmann and Janika Sprunger, use KRAFFT in the professional management of their horses, and all of them hope to participate in Herning2022. With KRAFFT as a partner, we ensure that we can offer top quality feed to the participants who may wish this.”
Sales and Marketing Manager from KRAFFT, Frida Nordell states: “We are proud to be part of the World Championships in Denmark. The last FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Scandinavia was in 1990 in Stockholm. With this collaboration, we will present our product range and inform athletes and visitors about our considerations regarding the use of good raw materials and finished goods.”
Sustainability is a top priority for Herning2022 where possible. That goal is backed up by KRAFFT, which uses natural ingredients from sustainable agriculture in feed production.
“We are constantly working on sustainability and are making even greater investments next year, and therefore it is important for us to be part of Herning2022. The Organisers of Herning2022 strive to deliver high quality on many parameters during the World Championships, and this is in line with our philosophy of ensuring quality from raw material to finished product. We look forward to meeting new and old customers at Herning2022, and offering our four-legged athletes high-quality products,” concludes Sales and Marketing Manager from KRAFFT, Frida Nordell.
KRAFFT's feed has been developed based on solid knowledge, research, and development. For several years, it has also been Sweden's best-selling feed, both among professionals and hobby athletes. Herning2022 has a strong focus on the welfare of horses during the Championships. Each horse is unique, and an extra effort will be made to give the horses in the permanent stables at the venue the chance to be fresh, well-balanced, and ready to perform together with their athletes and vaulters.
