Para Dressage rider Tobias Thorning Jørgensen (DEN) and Jolene Hill are double gold medal winners from EUCH 2019 and a part of the Danish team at Paralympic Games.

In August 2022, Denmark will host the FEI World Championships. More than 800 athletes from over 70 nations will meet and compete in Herning. Orifarm Healthcare is the proud main sponsor of the Para Dressage discipline.

From 6 – 14 August 2022, the FEI World Championships in the four equestrian disciplines of Jumping, Dressage, Para Dressage, and Vaulting will be hosted by Denmark for the first time ever. It is a huge and very important event for the athletes and their horses, the Organisers, the equestrian sports, and the many talented riders in Denmark.

Orifarm Healthcare is proud to announce the sponsorship of the Para Dressage discipline and hence the support of the athletes and their horses during these World Championships.

Birgitte Bøgh-Sørensen, co-founder of family-owned Orifarm Healthcare together with Hans Bøgh-Sørensen, states:

“We have always insisted on having an ambitious approach to our business and have a strong belief that everything is possible if you fight for it. Having managed to build a successful business within healthcare, we want to support relevant initiatives and activities in our surroundings. We see this as one way of giving value back to society.

In para-dressage we meet athletes who need to fight hard to fulfill their ambitions. They do not only have to compete against each other, they also have to struggle with diseases or disabilities in their everyday lives and while competing. Furthermore, they have to perform in cooperation with a horse, which adds further complexity.”

And Hans Bøgh-Sørensen adds:

The Para Dressage athletes are in the game to win - and they most certainly won our hearts. We want to support them in fulfilling their ambitions at the World Championships.”

Orifarm Group is also supporting talents within sports like racing and soccer, and the company sponsors activities in its local communities, provides long distance donations for relevant initiatives which help people in need, and supports different charity programs. In 2020, Orifarm Group donated pharmaceuticals for nearly EUR 800,000 in cooperation with Global Medical Aid.

The hosting team is enthusiastic about the Para Dressage sponsorship

Casper Cassøe Krüth, who together with Jens Trabjerg is responsible for the execution of the big event, says:

“We are very pleased that Orifarm Healthcare wants to support Para Dressage at the ECCO FEI World Championships in Herning in 2022.” And he continues: “Danish Para Dressage is absolutely world-class. Together with Orifarm Healthcare, we can increase the awareness of the sport at home and abroad and at the same time ensure the absolute best conditions for the execution of the World Championships.”

Jens Trabjerg adds: “Herning2022 has a strong focus on sustainability and plans a significant part of the execution to be based on several of the UN's world goals. We are very pleased that Orifarm Healthcare supports those ambitions as well.”

Supporting sustainable goals

Orifarm Group is a member of the UN Global Compact and is committed to the principles of responsible business conduct promoted by the UN Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor rights, environment, and anti-corruption.

Hans Bøgh-Sørensen comments on the importance of sustainability:

“The FEI World Championships in 2022 has very high ambitions regarding sustainability before, during, and after the event, which we support with pleasure. Sustainable Development Goals are also guiding our business development at Orifarm Group.”

Orifarm Group has chosen to prioritize 4 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its pursuit of minimizing the negative impact of the business operations and increasing the positive contribution from value creation and products.

The 4 SDGs are; #3 Good health and well-being, #8 Decent work and economic growth, #12 Responsible consumption and production, and #13 Climate action.
