The World Championships in dressage, para-dressage, jumping, and vaulting in 2022 will be the greatest international equestrian championship in Denmark ever, and Denmark plans to create a festive celebration of the sport. More than 200.000 spectators are expected, and together with a massive media attention the event will contribute to the branding of Denmark as a sporting event nation and destination. Which is why, Sport Event Denmark partners the event.
Sport Event Denmark is the national Danish sporting event organization. Established and supported by the Danish Government. The objective is bidding for and hosting world-class sporting events in Denmark, for example, World and European Championships in different sports as well as major sports congresses. Sport Event Denmark is working in close collaboration with the Danish host cities and the national governing. Sport Event Denmark is primarily focused on sports that have a strong foundation within Denmark, either at the elite level or when it comes to sport for all levels, such as equestrian. Today Denmark is one of the leading countries in terms of hosting world-class sporting events (in top-12 globally according to SportCal). Read more about that right here!
